“Tid-bits” from the Past 30 Years – 1994-99

* In 1994 “Brian’s” introduces Custom Graphics on their pads and gloves (remember Trevor Kidd’s Calgary “Flames” gear?) and Vaughn introduces the first “angle” faced blocker.

* In 1995 the Quebec Nordiques are sold and moved to Colorado and in December of that same year Patrick Roy is traded to Colorado after a blow out with his Head Coach.

* 1998 – The year of the “Dominator” as Hasek wins Olympic Gold, the Vezina, the Pearson and Hart Trophies.

*1998 - Wayne Gretzky scores his 1000th goal – that’s a lot of ticked off goalies!! Andy Moog and Kelly Hrudey retire.

* 1999 goalies breath a sigh of relief as Wayne Gretzky (the greatest scoring threat of all time) hangs up his skates and retires.
